"DoG: What is your take on the Hal/Barry friendship? Is there anything we haven’t seen before? BB: Well, these guys have VERY different personalities. Hal is the fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kind of guy, and Barry is about as methodical a dude as you can be. All you have to do is look at their professions... Hal is a JET PILOT and Barry is a POLICE SCIENTIST. Polar opposites. So, my take is very much in line with who they are as people. I didn't try to reinvent the wheel with this story, I just wanted to explore the nature of their differences and WHY those differences bond them as friends". This is the issue I was waiting since the end of Flashpoint. I love Mark Waid's The Brave and The Bold (and JLA: Year One). He made me a fan of Barry and Hal. Until then, I didn't give a damn to the Flash (Wally) and Green Lantern (Kyle). I mean... I collected their comics and I read some of them, but just because they were present in the mix TPBs we have here in Brazil. I liked some stories, mainly the most generic ones, where didn't make difference who was the Flash or GL. the thing is I didn't feel connected to the men behind the masks. Waid presented me to Barry and Hal and I just loved them in that moment. I knew Barry and Hal from Wally's and Kyle's comics, and I liked them, but I only understood and embraced them in these Waid's series. I hope Brian can get some of his light on this annual. I'm really hungry for this book. they should do a monthly series with Hal and Barry (like Batman/Superman) or, at least, a limited series.

A limited series would be great, or at the very least, a crossover between the Flash and Green Lantern titles.
