I thought this might be a fun way for everyone to vent express their feelings about a critical member of the Flash family, Wally West. I grew up with him as a founding member of the Teen Titans, and I was collecting still when Wally took on the red suit on his own. He then became an icon in his own right...until disappearing with the advent of the DCnU. Since he seems to be at least presently missing from the "New 52", I thought it appropriate for us to have a little fun and come up with "52 Ways to Bring Wally Back" to the DCnU...I'll start with something simple and you can add to it with your own posts as you like. You can be serious or LOL if you wish!
EDIT: One additional note - there are all kinds of people who are fans of The Flash in all sorts of places, so please keep that in mind when posting, as we wish to make ALL of the Flash's fans welcome here. That being said, some (friendly) bashing of the folks who seem to want to keep Wally away from us is considered OK here. Now, post away!
............................................................................................................. 52 Ways to Bring Wally Back
1. Wally suddenly appears in issue 3 with no explanation. Turns out, he was just waiting for the editorial staff at DC to look the other way before he reappeared.
your suggestions?

2. Wally West is the guardian of the timestream. He steps in to make sure neither Barry Allen nor his Rogues attempt to alter the past again. Having lost his family to changes in the timestream, he has dedicated his life to protecting its integrity.

We open the pages of issue 3, Wally is in the shower, everything has been a horrible dream! This allows us to totally forget everything that's happened in the past year as it turns out Wally wasn't actually shot dead by that crazy family member.....wait, am I just getting mixed up here?

1.Bart is not Bart Bart is in fact Wally who thinks he's Bart (see the Return of Barry Allen by Waid and co.) 2. Wally and Linda were pulled into hyper time by Walter West (remember him?) when the Flashpoint occurred When they return and Barry sees Wally in person and Wally unmasks he'll remember everything that happened as it originally occurred Wally will wear his Metallic Red costume (Flash 50-131) Barry will resume wearing his proper Silver Age-2011 suit) 3. In a Fourth Wall Breaking Event Wally will break into the offices of DC Comics and repeatedly vandalize Dan (d)Idiot's office with Posters figures and Wallpaper'd issues of Wally's run until out of sheer desperation (d)Idiot re-instates the Pre-Flashpoint reality dismissing the DCnU to a year in hyper time.

Somehow, through a quirk of multi-time, Wally ends up on Earth Prime. Powerless, Wally seeks out Superboy Prime, who already knows of his predicament, having just read the last issue.
Together, they seek out DC's offices and confront Dido and Co. Prime threatens to destroy the multiverse again, Morrison be damned, unless Wally is restored to the proper DCU. After much sweating under the glare of heat vision, Dido relents.
Prime punches Wally back into the proper DCU just in time for the Flash Family Thanksgivings dinner.

Wally and Donna both come back as agents of that Purple Cloaked chick who appears mysteriously. They are both in charge of cleaning up the time stream whenever something goes hinky. They recruit other heroes from other timelines and time streams and Earths. Such as any of the Milestone heroes who got dropped along the way, Ted Kord, Dr. Manhattan from The Watchmen, and the original Question. There is in fact two Flashes as agents. Walter West is also there!

Infiltrate DC Comics office gain power and start major story lines that have plot holes large enough to drive a Red Giant Star through but that have so much flash and sizzle hype behind them no one notices then when everyone's getting an adrenaline hangover from all the epic events of the last ten years, create a reality changing event that completely rewrites the history of the comic book continuity and re-include characters who have been deador missing for better than twenty years

News report: This, just in! An Explosion has rocked the Keystone Police department's Crime Lab. No details on what caused explosion. however reports coming in indicate that there are survivors trapped in the building (Barry Allen changes to his Flash costume running to the crime Lab as he arrives there he finds the EMT's assisting a bunch of people sitting outside the rubble. EMT 1: Flash! great job! FLASH: Got here as soon as I could.... EMT 2: well you sure made short work of it! the survivors said you got everyone out who was still alive. FLASH: They said I.........?!? I just got here! who the.... Survivor 1: Flash? FLASH: Uhm, yes? (looking around for someone else wearing Flash clothes or even a T-shirt) Survivor 1: thanks so much! If it hadn't been for you....Hey! what happened to the white lenses? FLASH: White Lenses? Surv 1: yeah you had them on in your mask when you saved me!....What? do you only wear them when you go through debris so you don't get it in your eyes? FLASH: The debris? It can't get in my eyes because I vibrate out of phase with solid matter.....besides i don't wear white lenses I feel people trust heroes even masked heroes when they can actually see your eyes Bystander: But doesn't that give them a clue to your identity? I mean people can pool their information on you. folks who disappear suddenly after news of an occurrence like this one.... with (looking Flash in the face) say Blue eyes...... FLASH: not exactly imperial evidence mister....? Bystander: (Grinning) Just call me Wally. I was the president of my school's Flash Fan club when you First appeared a few years back. it's really an honor to finally meet you! FLASH: Thank you Wally....Have we met before? WALLY: Well i was a Kid Flash......er, that is, I was a Kid at the time, Flash. (Grins) FLASH: Well, it was nice to have met you again Wally. what do you do now? obviously you're not in school still. or are you....? WALLY: uh, NO! i'm actually a mechanic here with the Keystone City PD FLASH: i see, well, maybe we'll get to work together in the future. WALLY: i'm counting on it Flash. (Flash gives Wally a look and then speeds off) Voice from behind: Nice work. WALLY: Huh?!? (Wally turns and sees the speaker who remains in shadow from the rest of us) oh! Hey. Yeah forgot about the eye shields though... Mystery char: That's alright. It just adds to the mystery if Barry's going to find out the truth he needs to come to it gradually. whoever is behind this reality twist is devious and truly evil. and if you just appeared they'd use it against both us AND Barry. WALLY: Still, it killed me not being able to tell him everything.....Iris. IRIS: don't worry, kiddo you will when it's time. Until then we just have to wait. Let's just be thankful that MAX was able to break you out of the Limbo you were trapped in (see Wally in Limbo for details) WALLY: Right. I have to get home now as a matter of fact. I'd Superspeed it but I don't want to RUN into Barry just yet. IRIS; well, you'd better take a cab then... see you for dinner? WALLY: sure! Linda's making her mother's Chicken Cordon Bleu to be continued....(hopefully in FLASH comics)

Yeah, it's hard to not see some sort of Wally conspiracy after seeing that episode. I thought for sure Barry was going to die instead.
*sigh*

I think they know that wally is there ace in the hole in case the comics stop selling good . . . which they wont cause there amazing but they can only play the wallys first apprence once in the 52 univrse so there saving it for when they need it. As for killing him in the tv show i felt like it could have been more dramtic lol everyone was just like btw wallys dead. I should have been crying dammit.

I would like to see Wally as the main villain of a (good) mega event like Hal Jordan in Zero Hour.
I think of it as Wally being manipulate by Pandora. Wally is in fact the last survivor of old DCU. He has not appeared yet because he knows that the minute he set foot on this DCnU he'll begin to forget his own reality just like Barry, so he has been stranded in the timestream.
Wally's motivation is to restore his universe, knowing this reality is actually a result of Barry's attempt to change the past (interesting to have in perspective Wally's rol during Barry's trial before his death back in the 80's). So Wally's motivation could feel right from his point of view, but this universe will surely fail in seing things that way.
As a hole, I feel that a history like this could give incredible moments. Wally pointing the incongruences between Green Lantern and Batmans' continuities and the remaining DCnU, Wally and Dick meeting each other for somehow the firs time, Wally confronting barry for destroying an universe and for Bart's sacrifice (Kid Flash miniseries), and lot of other stuff...
In fact, Wally might have a gang composed by all the missing characters in the DCnU, explaining that they are missing because they are the few that Wally could pull out, save, and therefore they also remember the old universe.
Hope you like it.
