CBR has a great interview with Manapul and Buccellato about the first year of their work on The Flash, along with some plans moving forward. One bit of info was most interesting to me...the idea that they are still the creative team for the immediate future...at least up to somewhere around the two year mark (including previously published issues). The article also includes their opinions on the leadership of the Rogues and Barry's relationship (or rather, non-relationship) with Iris. This is a must-read...and here's the link: www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=40978

I'm glad to hear that the writers think my second-favourite character was ridiculous.

I sort of felt an "ouch" at that point as well. I do like the Glider character being written so strongly right now, but that comment was a truly strange one.

It doesn't actually surprise me, though. Manapul has made some rather iffy comments about the Rogues and even critical Rogue fans before. I was surprised in the beginning, but not anymore. And Buccellato said the Rogues were silly and needed to be changed.
There's a reason I've stopped buying DC comics. I don't feel even remotely respected as a reader/fan.

These guys know what's up. Lovin' the book. It is nice to hear that a creative team has an actual plan for their run. I have to admit, I am a bit saddened that they might only have a year left. On the other hand, I'd rather see them go out on top rather than going out with a whimper because they overextended their welcome.
