At the end of FOSTER #5 (just out at www.brianbooch.com ), Brian Buccellato wrote a letter to the fans of FOSTER promising an action packed 28-page issue #6 that would wind up the current story arc...to be "the last issue for a while". His reasons are completely understandable - a creator-owned publication involves so much more than simply writing or even putting together a book for publication. Still, this has been an excellent series, and I look forward to reading the rest of this story arc. There is still certainly time to catch up - just go to www.brianbooch.com and check it out.

My pleasure....though I wonder if Booch thought the decision through all the way? Black Bat is going to be obviously ridiculed as a Batman "knock-off", even though the two started at around the same time. Given that he works for DC (even though he doesn't do anything on any Bat-title) might get fingers pointed, or perhaps burn some bridges at DC.
This is all conjecture, of course. Dynamite is "known" for their Pulp books, and Booch is trying to expand his writing frontiers (maybe to perhaps land another writing job on another DC title in the future)....so you can't blame the man for trying....
