Great article there.
I think you highlight an interesting point. I know that a lot of fans are upset over Wally's absence (rightfully so) but I think if you simply judge this title on it's merits alone, with no grudges towards what you may think was wrongfully done to Wally, I think you'll find that Manapul and Co have been putting out a comic filled with consistent quality in both story and art.
Well done good sir.

Great article Speedster!! I have been a Flash fan for a while now, and have loved both Wally & Barry. My first exposure to The Flash was in Grant Morrison's JLA title. I then started collecting Flash trades written by Geoff Johns (aka Wally West Flash). Although I enjoyed Wally's character, I was truly in love with The Flash.....which is why I don't think it really bothered me at all when they replaced Wally with Barry. Maybe Johns' had conditioned me with bringing back Hal Jordan as Green Lantern, or perhaps it was Morrison's "larger than life" style of writing the JLA characters, I don't know....
I love the new title & Barry's character, but it's truly the mythological & symbolic hero-type of The Flash that truly finds a home in my heart. If DC announced tomorrow that Barry would be replaced by Wally, it wouldn't really bother me.....I enjoy and love The Flash, not Barry or Wally.
