After health issues kept me from going last year I took my nephew around the west end in London to 2 comic shops, there were cosplayers there posing for pictures and we got a good 9 or so free comics, one was called Endangered Weapon B which we got signed by the writer David Tallerman amd we then headed to another comic shop a short distance away and got a couple more comics and I bought the latest issue of earth 2, had a cup of tea in there before going home, all in all had a pretty good day

I went to my favorite shop in Durham, North Carolina USA and had a great time as well. I met some writers and artists who were doing signings - and besides the free books I bought a few things. I put an article with some pics up at TMStash.com. Here's he link: www.tmstash.com/fcbd-at-ultimate-comics/Please feel free to link us to any picks or stories you may have!

My shop's too small to have special events. A friend of the store owner set up some extra longboxes outside, and there wasn't a single Flash issue included I was looking, and a stranger next to me asked the owner if there were any -- he said that dude was the third person to ask about Flash issues.

Sorry they didn't have Flash issues in the longboxes for sale. Still, it is good to hear how different shops handled FCBD. The one I went to was a bit of an exception as it is one of the larger shops around. The other nearby shops were very similar to what you experienced, with no major events but still some back issues for sale.
