After reading Flashpoint #1, it looks like this story has the potential to live up to the hype. While I have to admit LOL'ing at the spill down the stairs, I also thought the choice of narrator was most interesting for the first issue and the twist at the end was a REALLY good one (not gonna spoil it here...if anyone has spoilers in future posts please clearly mark them, k?). It is just a first issue, but I'm pretty happy so far. At the very least, this series has real potential.
Now, I don't want to go on and on right now - this thread is meant to get YOUR thoughts. Have you read Flashpoint #1 yet? If so, what say you? This thread will (hopefully) be up for the whole Flashpoint run, so add your comments here. Thanks!

I really liked it! I really wasn't expecting the ending it was a very nice surprise. I'm ready for issue 2 and all of the other to come out to see if they live up to issue 1.

DC did a great job with the big surprise/reveal at the end of the first issue. I believe there was even some misdirection/false info put out there about Batman.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Based on what was being said before Flashpoint #1 came out I had a feeling Bruce wasn't going to be Batman (DC was saying that in the FP world neither Bruce nor his parents were killed and that he grew up to be a billionaire playboy casino owner) but I had no idea who Batman was going to be. When they did the big reveal I was caught completely off-guard. I totally didn't see that coming.

I liked issue 2 as well and again the ending makes you want to read the third one.

I have to agree...they have managed to put a nice twist at the end of each issue. In a way the reboot/restart/mulligan DCU coming up allows them the freedom to really play with this story and make it something special if they want to do so...and it appears they do. I'm definitely buying the next issue in hopes they can keep this up.
