What an amazing issue. Just when I think things couldn't get better, they find a new way to blow me away.

I liked the ending of this arc....simple and unexpected. The Gorillas seem split now, and Savitar is still apparently alive. Gorilla Grodd in the Speedforce.....which may or may not be an issue down the road for The Flash.
Turbine joining the Rogues would be awesome, but ditching Captain Cold would not. Liking the "tension" now between Iris, Barry, & Patty.
.....and most of all, loving the new look of Reverse Flash!!!!

As much as I liked the issue, I do see your point about wishing it had been a double sized issue. I always like reading your reviews. Thanks for linking us to it from here!

Nice review speedster! I agree with everything you said, except for two minor things. First, I never felt like Grodd had an advantage in the Speed Force. He just caught Flash's leg briefly, but Flash was able to kick his way out of it quickly. It was, however, a little odd to interrupt that sequence with five pages. Secondly, I do have to point out that monorail was in the background of the scene where the Rogues began recruiting Turbine. Although they don't expressly mention it, they do refer to their "new toys."
So far, Manapul and Buccellato have done a good job on following through on most of their plot lines. I trust (and hope) that they'll answer the rest of our questions soon.

First, I never felt like Grodd had an advantage in the Speed Force. That might very well be, but the way that panel was presented with Barry having a "wtf" look on his face and Grodd triumphantly shooting down Barry's slight arrogance gave the me impression that the fight became more even handed. It was just awkwardly done. While I was being somewhat cheeky with my comment, was that what that was? I honestly wasn't 100% sure since it was glowing yellow/orange - it almost made me wonder if it was one of Dr. Elias's speed force containers (which would have been odd because how would the Rogues have gotten it). In any event, I stick by my theory that Flash just hates monorails and allowed the Rogues to get away with it.

A fine ending to this arc. Terrific issue overall. But I do agree with some of speedster's points in his review. What happened to the glowing guy in the tank? It was made into kinda a big deal when he started glowing yet no mention made of it here. Barry did have a 'Huh' moment on his face when Grodd caught his leg. It did appear as if this battle suddenly became more level. Grodd does believe the Speed Force is his destiny, he was imbued with Speed Force energy, so the combination of the two might have been what gave him the ability to level the playing field with Barry in the Speed Force. But a few pages later, Barry is indeed back on top with no allusion to Grodd getting in any kind of decent hits. Strange, but I do think it was interesting that he left Grodd in the Speed Force, not to mention dangerous. Barry may be Speed Force King, but who is to say, left to study and wander about the Speed Force, that Grodd could not become a usurper (or even backer, maybe Grodd has some connection to the new Reverse-Flash since RF is being described as a Speed-Force killer) Do like the set-up with love triangle. And really, given your comments on Barry in the recent issue of Justice League, Barry's comments while rescuing Iris seemed almost Wally-like in terms of flirting. Really liked that, as well as Patty's stunned expression. Like the time-jump at the end. RF doesn't show up immediately, so we're left wondering, what did happen in that span of a month? Loved it. More please.
