Could be interesting.
I still want to see a Flash-centric movie set in the regular DCU!

I'm hoping that the DC Nation shorts will encourage DC to branch out beyond Batman-Superman -- it's so nice to see lesser-used characters getting more exposure. But then again, they're just shorts, so it isn't much of a risk.

Of all the recent DC summer event stories, Flashpoint would be the easiest one to adapt to a movie. There is no long or convoluted back story to it the way things like Final Crisis or Blackest Night has. Plus, the story is is very straight forward and largely contained to the main Flashpoint series, making an adaptation easier to happen.

The Flashpoint characters were great for an adaptation as well - particularly Thomas Wayne. And, I have to say I truly enjoyed the Citizen Cold stories as well (except for killing Wally, that is).

I think the big question is, how will it end? Are they going to put all that universe-merging stuff in, or imply that the universe goes back to what it was?
Also, it'll be interesting what side stories they decide to include.

I'd be really surprised if they kept Pandora and the universe changing element. That was such a left turn out of nowhere in the book that including it in the movie would be a huge case of "whut?".
It begs a follow-up and unintentionally commits WB animation to adapt whatever the big Pandora story DC is cooking up. I doubt WB is willing to do that for a story that probably isn't even written yet.

I agree, it would be out of nowhere, but might be a springboard into a new direction for DC animation -- provided they're planning to do that. Maybe future animated movies will continue to be done in pre-reboot style/continuity, I don't know. But I'd guess Timm and other producers have already decided where they're going to go with future films.

Chances are that WB animation isn't concerning itself with Pre/New 52. Whatever stories they will adapt, they'll likely ape the art style of that particular story. For example, if they adapt a Pre-52 Superman story (such as Superman vs. The Elite), we'll likely see his red trunks.
