I read recently (and I wanted Jay Garrick to actually have a thread about him) that inhaling the "hard water" caused a latent reaction to some meta-genes inside of him. I was just wondering how people reacted to this? Also, what are your opinions on Jay Garrick himself.

I was a Jay fan back in the 60's, when there were crossovers with the original Earth Two. Whether it was in the Flash comics or in JLA, Jay was always one of my favorites.

It's just how DC handles it's Earth Born people with powers. Wally once called the meta-gene an X-factor in his genetic makeup. Metahumans are basically the DC equivilant of Marvel's mutants but the term is less derogative.

I preferred the the way it used to be with the Golden Age characters living on Earth 2 with the occasional cross-over.
My main question is how the JSA is going to be handled when the DCnU is rolled out. I read that Superman is going to be the first superhero when Action starts. Also note that JSA isn't one of the 52 launch titles.
