Thanks to Newsarama's live feeds from SDCC 2012 for these tidbits:
- In the Superman Live panel, a fan brought up the age-old (okay, 40 year-old) question of whether Superman or The Flash would win a race between the two. Matt Idleson (Superman Group Editor) said Superman would win, Mike Johnson (co-writer for Supergirl) said Kara would beat them both, and the crowd (when asked by incoming Superman writer Scott Lobdell) was 90% for the Flash.
- In the JL and GL panel...well, here are some quick quotes: "Now we're moving onto Flash #0. Buccellato said we all know Barry Allen's origin story, but they're giving it just a little bit of a different spin. Manapul: We fill in a lot of the gaps after a certain occurrence in his life, who raised him, how did he get to the place he's at now? Buccellato: Why does he always do the right thing? Why does he care about the evidence so much? Issue #13 has a sign: "Welcome to Gorilla City." Grodd invades Central City — after Flash left a mess in Gorilla City, the telepathic gorilla is going to mess up his home. Barry might need some help to get the monkey off his back. Perhaps the Rogues might help... ".
- Later in the JL/GL Panel we get: "Will Barry find Bart Allen anytime soon? Manapul has said "it's been discussed to be discussed." Buccellato said "it'll happen at some point, just not today." Still later we got the traditional non-answers regarding Wally.
- The one exchange of note in the New 52 LIVE! panel was this: "Q: Noticed the letter that the Flash gave to Batman from his father in Justice League in the Batcave... Johns: Yeah, we put that in there on purpose, and you're probably the only one who noticed that. It's there for a reason."
