I'm with you....loved this issue! Gorilla Grodd is formidable, and linked to the Speedforce, The Flash & The Rogues working together is fun and bad@$$ at the same time, and did NOT see the Trickster scene coming at all!
Manapul & Buccellato are weaving storylines from all over the place into this giant arc....and I couldn't be more impressed with how it's starting!! "The Man" & "Booch" have really done a great job in "universe building".....loving the "new" Rogues, the "new" Grodd, & the "new" origin....pretty much everything in The Flash's "new" universe! Great issue, and looking forward to #14!!

Ah, the joys of being paid bi-weekly! One of these days, Flash will arrive on the correct Wednesday.
Till then, must wait patiently till next week. *sigh*

Wow, the first clear instance of Geoff Johns-type violence in this book in regards to the scene with Trickster. Didn't see that coming although I can see Trickster trying to make that kind of a deal. But smart gorillas, hyped up on Speed Force energy, with a more primal, viscious Grodd in command, yeah, this issue was terrific.
The Rogues keep getting better, here being the focus of their teamwork. Like you, I too liked how they only joined the Flash when their own hides were being threatened. Lenny's comments were especially amusing.
About your Dad Theory with Frye, my only problem is, given the type of relationship he and Barry have, I would think Frye would've told Barry of that by now, even considering Barry's ongoing concerns with his father's murder case. Telling Barry might help resolve more of his conflicted feelings over his father's presumed innocence.......
.....unless Frye knows more than he's let on about Nora's murder. I think Turbine's comment towards Frye could also have that implication as well.

I only found it a little weird that Frye completely ignores it, but you may be on to something Savitar....
