Whenever there is a "slow" news day (and sometimes when there isn't), Comic Book Resources publishes one of their "list" stories..."Top 5 Things We Learned from the Latest Issue of ___", "Top 8 Reasons Why_____", etc. In this case, there is a new article titled "The 10 Greatest SUPERVILLAIN Teams of ALL TIME!" In this article, the Rogues are....third? Really? Not that I should get worked up over this but the "Sinister Six" and the "Masters of Evil" being ranked higher shows a definite Marvel bias here...of course, the writer of the article shows some ignorance of the history of The Flash by leaving out a certain, uh, "spin" to the list of members of the Rogues. Let me say this: In no other comic, in no other comics universe, has there ever been a team-up of bad guys like the Rogues. It is not just their individual abilities to challenge our hero(es), but also the way that they team up that makes them unique. How many bad-guy groups actually have a code that they live by even when not together? How many groups truly move several steps up the threat category when they team up? You can certainly make a case for an individual baddie making more of a mark (like the Joker, or Lex Luthor....and yes, I'm showing my DC bias here). But, as a group, no team compares to the Rogues. Still, it's nice to see something written about the Rogues, even if the order is a bit off. Here's the link to the article: www.newsarama.com/comics/10-greatest-supervillain-teams-all-time-1.html

Heh, I guess I'm glad the Rogues scored as high as they did! (and my favourite Marvel villains, the Brotherhood, are #4) I'd rank both groups higher, but I'm biased Not surprised they forgot the Top; most people do. Kadabra's an odd one to remember, though.
