AWESOME review!! I couldn't agree more....the issue just takes off....like The Flash....and doesn't stop....leaving you breathless in anticipation for #15!!

Loved the tie-in with Solovar, and did NOT see the ending coming! I was really thinking Turbine was an "enemy"....but maybe not so much!

You are also correct in your opinion of Grodd, definitely not to be trifled with...and they haven't even got around to showing his telepathic abilities yet (that's assuming he has them in the New52-verse).

Was kinda bummed earlier this week with the changes alluded to with the creative team...which you also mentioned...but like you this is definitely my favorite creative team, though I don't go back 45 years.

This may be my favorite issue yet....Standing-O & Golf Clap for Manapul & Buccellato!!

Another terrific issue that sees the tension and action continue to rise.

Manapul and Co. do a fantastic job in giving all these various character beats their own time. How all these threads come together and to what effect is going to be fun to see.

Love the intro of Solovar, a prime example of how something new and innocent introduced previously can how a profound effect later on.

What may be overlooked is Patty's reaction at issue's end. What a way to learn the turth, so of course, more interested now to see what she will do next.

Again, art is fabulous. The title splash page at the end was stunning. If the creative team is indeed stable for the next year or so, then good. DC needs to realize that they have the right creative talent on the right title and leave it be. By doing so, we all win in the end.

I liked the issue, but I feel that this story is taking a bit to get going. It seems like, right now, it is all about who can throw a harder punch. I hope by next issue, we start to get to some of the meat and potatoes.
