FINALLY Wally makes an appearance in FlashPoint: Citizen Cold #1. He is of course, just Wally West. Barry never became the Flash in the FP universe and thus Wally never became Kid Flash. He appears to work with his Aunt Iris for the TV News and is following in her footsteps doing some investigative reporting of his own. I'll leave it at that. Saying any more might require a Spoiler alert (although I don't know what Stephanie Brown has to do with giving away too much info about comics. )

With the reboot this is a perfect time to give Wally a new costume and name. In the new reboot Barry never dies and if he doesn't die then Wally never becomes The Flash. But it was nice seeing him in Citizen Cold and I also liked watching Mr. Freeze vs Captain Cold.

I would be fine with him being (also) the Flash...wonder if they will instead give him a new hero name (ala Nightwing). The main thing is that they somehow keep him as a speedster with a prominent role in some way.

Wally was something unique as the first sidekick to assume his mentor's legacy full-time. If he gets a new hero name like Nightwing, then he loses that uniqueness. He becomes "like Nightwing." Not like Wally West.

Fair enough. I'm just hoping they don't do something terrible or lame (or terribly lame) with Wally. I've followed both Barry and Wally for over 35 years and I'd hate to see them trash him in the reboot.

I'd hate to see that too. It's funny, I think most fans accept both Wally and Barry. It's mostly the people at DC who think that having one hurts the other.
