Yeah, Lois did set up Etrigan to rhyme. And his rhymes were actually pretty fun. Too bad we only got two of them.

Loved Flashpoint Paradox!! Stayed true to the Johns' vision....and I'm betting that if Dillonmania watched it, she enjoyed The Top's cameo!!

Finally saw this film and I must say....WOW. I watched this film with my wife, who has a basic general knowledge of the DCU but is a bigger fan of the animated shows like JLU, the TAS series and Young Justice. So I can agree with Ed's review about watching it with his son, in that I was mentally 'filling in the blanks' of the story while she was experiencing it for the first time. The Rogues scene was fun and while I can agree with Lia that Zoom's arrival kinda regulated them into comic relief, I think the overall point is the difference in their attitudes toward Flash, the Rogues never wanted to kill Flash while Zoom is obsessed over it. (My wife had some trouble with his name, Eobard Thawne. This is the first time she's ever seen R-F, so I had to do some basic explaining of him) I was bothered by the unresolved fate of Nora Allen. There's no indication of Thawne committing her murder, Henry Allen isn't even mentioned, in fact, it's never indicated if her killer was ever caught. (A line or two about her case being one reason why Barry became a forensic scientist would've been nice). I would've liked an extra scene or two with her in the Flashpoint Universe, to make the drama of undoing her survival all the more poignant (ala the Star Trek TOS episode 'City on the Edge of Forever', Edith Keeler and Nora Allen must die) Given the time constraints, I thought they did remarkably well following the overall story. Very dark, very violent (when it was revealed that Martha Wayne was the new Joker, my wife muttered, "That's disgusting.....and twisted!") The fight with Deathstroke was great, seeing Kaldul fight alongside Aquaman was fun, wish more time and explanation was given to the Resistance, a little more fleshing out the war between Arthur and Diana, my biggest nitpick being the lack of detail for the SHAZAM kids. Billy was the only one who really talked, no idea of who the other kids were or why they needed, but the fight between Capt. Thunder and Diana was very good. As with the comic, the best scenes were between Barry and Thawne, especially at the end. You can feel the animosity between these long-standing foes and the voice-work was excellent. As was Thawne's death, a fitting violent end in this new dark time. Overall, changes are to be expected, but for a Flash-centric film, this was great. Loved it!
