It's my 29th birthday next saturday but I'm heading out on thursday to spend money(because I get paid that day) and will be going to a couple comic shops to see if I can get hold of Flashpoint 5 and Justice League 1, but I'm going to look around for some graphic novels, doesn't matter which company, I'm thinking of looking for a good jsa story or maybe The Avengers as I heard Scott Kolins has done some art for that series but don't know which graphic novels feature him(I have all the flash ones he's done)

Why not try something a little different? Pick up anything by the Hernandez bros? They obviously did some great work on live and rockets but they also worked together on a title Mr X which was interesting. Hate by Pete Bagge has been collected into tpb's and was always a good read. As is The Boys, which again, have all been collected into tpb volumes. I recently went to my local library where they were having a book sale, they were selling old graphic novels for 40pence each (not sure how the £/$ works out just now but on average graphic novels come in at around between £12.99 and £16ish then 40p is cheap!) bought a box of around 40 mostly marvel and DC. Absolutely brilliant
