Can't say I like any of the changes...but they're okay, I'll live with them. Sites do seem to love fixing what wasn't broken!

Thank you I've always felt really bad for O'Neill -- he was a bit smarmy and overly glib, but clearly didn't deserve the fate he got (and you'll notice in Johns' run that the Top's cell says "Thomas O'Neil" -- it was spelled wrong -- rather than "Roscoe Dillon", which also sucks for Tom)

Very short story -- it has a bad ending for one of the characters, but that's taken directly out of DC canon. Still, people are warned. The Senator and the Supervillain: archiveofourown.org/works/1144571

I'm guessing Booth had a brainfart or something, because he's a pretty big Wally fan. Iris did have a sister with a kid, but AFAIK that kid (a girl) only appeared once.

Well, you might have some interest in first appearances -- Barry's first appearance in Showcase #4, Captain Cold's in Showcase #8, and these early Rogues'/Flash characters' first appearances: Flash v1 #105 Flash v1 #106 #110 (first appearance of Wally West and Weather Wizard) #113 #117 #122 #123 (first meeting between Barry and Jay Garrick; classic story) #139 #140 At Kelson's site you can find various character bios which also list some of their important appearances, which might also give an idea of which issues you might want to read: www.hyperborea.org/flash/Those Flash hardcover books I mentioned earlier are great for giving a lot of material to read and to discover what you enjoy. Some people love the Silver Age and some hate it (personally I love it), and your tastes might be a bit different than others'.

I would personally recommend Geoff Johns' first run on the Flash, which is Flash v2 #164-225. A lot of people like Mark Waid's first run on the Flash book -- I don't, but apparently I'm an outlier on that, so you might enjoy it. These issues star Wally West, not Barry Allen.
I don't know how easy it is for you to get hold of early Barry Allen issues. The Flash Archives hardcovers and the Showcase Presents: the Flash books are probably your best bet.

I'm kind of laughing that he's to be called Eddie...though it could be an alias. My one real gripe is that Thawne and Zolomon are apparently going to be merged into one character, although I guess that isn't unusual for television.

The Lisa/Sam stuff makes me alternately sad and angry. But I guess that isn't a surprise to anyone.
...sorry for being a downer, I just wanted to express it.

I'm personally quite tired of the mom-killing aspect always being a part of Barry these days -- but in all honesty am just resigned to it now. It makes me roll my eyes every time, but doesn't get me angry or anything. That said, if they had to kill Nora again, it was pretty exciting to reference Professor Zoom right off the bat. Definitely unexpected, and does provide a good reason for Barry's interest in metahuman cases. I'm intrigued.

Heh, thank you The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants/Freedom Force were my first love in comics, so that's why they're hanging around the Rogues and Zooms. My busts of Pyro and Avalanche are on a different shelf. Nothing wrong with a small collection, you should share it! (if you feel comfortable doing it, that is)
