Great Site! I've been there a few times.... It's wonderful to have another devoted Flash Fan join us here!

The Rogues do appear in some of them...The Flash is "planning" using a map (?). I noticed in how the stories "play" out that Barry is dying in the end....with Patty "at his side".
I don't think it's Barry knowing whats going on, because he is unconscious.....I think it's more like getting an idea and logically following it through. His Speedmind is considering all angles, possibilities, and outcomes. He doesn't know what The Rogues are doing; per say, but knows them well enough to consider strengths, weaknesses, etc.

I would believe to be as simple as wanting to give Aquaman serious "face-time" with the trinity.

I was initially disappointed to see Francis Manapul didn't draw the whole issue, but then I got to the end with the speed mind visions. That more than made up for everything. Manapul never ceases to amaze me. Great Review! I; like dallinturner, found myself disappointed in the early artwork in this issue....but I didn't realize it was Marcus To until I finished and read the credits. To To's credit, his artwork is getting better....
What's amazing about this issue from the story point of view, is that really nothing happened. Grodd "charges down", and Turbine slings some rocks at him....oh, and Iris' brother gets caught. Everything else I can think of is filler. Not that it's bad or anyting, it's amazing that it was such a great issue....and didn't feel like a "filler" issue.
The last 9 pages left me speechless!! Breathtaking, I cannot think of a spread in any other comic book I've read in....as far as I can remember....as good, detailed, and beautiful as Francis Manapul's Speed Mind.
My only criticism of this issue, is what they did with Grodd. I did not like the "power drain", it felt "cheap". I'm hoping that they do Grodd "justice", he is a better villain than to be treated like that.

This is a weird one....that I'm loving. Ventriloguist puppets, drug-dealing teddy bears, Victoria's Secret Mannequin girlfriends...I could go on.....Bladerunner + Toy Story + iRobot = Non-Humans!

You wake up and go to work, you have a pregnant wife and a future. Then it all changes as other Yous are trying to take over your life and destroy it. You think you are staring in a mirror.....but you are looking back at you!
A great concept, though I will be interested to see if this stays an on-going, or just a very long mini-series. Robert Kirkman's Skybound is behind this Image Comics series though, and history shows he can stretch out the simplist concept for years....

This title reminds you of a good "Cop Show"....if the Cops are from the far distant future, on other planets investigating strange creatures in rain that will melt the skin off your bones....

Boxer thought he had the perfect plan....but things never turn out as expected when you're dealing with the King of Monsters!! The Monster Kill Crew suffers loss, as Godzilla falls in love?

So you've finally discovered that DC & Marvel are not the only publishers in the Comic Book Industy.....now what?
Most inde-titles are spread by word-of-mouth, and this is where you can share about your favorite inde books.
Share any title from any publisher other than the "Big 2" here!!

This social and political thriller continues in the fine tradition laid down by the original movies...the moon has blown up and Ape civilization is crumbling. A sign of the Apocalypse? A freak Natural Event? Or something else?....

I know 2000AD fans may think differently (much like Wally West diehards), but I liked the first issue of IDW's new series.

I don't know how many Speedsters out there read Image Comics.....but here's a rundown for those of you who may be interested in checking out the great many new titles from Image....
Saga - Still rocks! Easily the best new book of the year....of any publisher! Chapter 8 comes out in December, and the first trade is available (collecting the first 6 issues).
Great Pacific - An original concept about the island-sized trash heap in the Pacific Ocean....that now has it's own eco-system and a stranded guy trying to deal with it all. #2 comes out in December.
Clone - Imagine waking up one day and realizing you are a clone...because the guy laying on the floor bleeding in your kitchen is you....and so's the guy trying to kill you and him. #2 comes out in December.
Non-Humans - Bladerunner meets Toy Story meets iRobot....kinda. A cop trying to hunt down a serial killer, a drug-dealing teddy bear, and a teenager in a committed relationship with a Victoria's Secret mannequin. #2 comes out in December.
Storm Dogs - A criminal investigation team on a distant planet trying to track down the killer behind several murders...the planet's indigenous life is deadly....as is the rain. #2 comes out in December.
Planetoid - Marooned on a distant planet, a group of humans must fight the elements and killer robots to survive....and by the way, there is no way off the metallic heap thanks to the gravity fields. #5 comes out in late-December or early-January, then will go to graphic novel format (it's a 5 issue mini-series).

I read that article as well, and sighed. I am loving this creative team, and (in my opinion) have noticed a "let down" whenever Manapul isn't doing the art or Booch isn't doing the colors.
That said, if I had to choose.....I'd rather see Manapul stay.....and if I had to choose further, I'd rather see Manapul doing art and have someone else do the writing rather than him write and someone else on artwork. I know it's selfish, and I'd much rather keep things as they are, but I suppose it's just life and the business.

AWESOME review!! I couldn't agree more....the issue just takes off....like The Flash....and doesn't stop....leaving you breathless in anticipation for #15!!
Loved the tie-in with Solovar, and did NOT see the ending coming! I was really thinking Turbine was an "enemy"....but maybe not so much!
You are also correct in your opinion of Grodd, definitely not to be trifled with...and they haven't even got around to showing his telepathic abilities yet (that's assuming he has them in the New52-verse).
Was kinda bummed earlier this week with the changes alluded to with the creative team...which you also mentioned...but like you this is definitely my favorite creative team, though I don't go back 45 years.
This may be my favorite issue yet....Standing-O & Golf Clap for Manapul & Buccellato!!

Yeah, longtime fan of the Bunny Samurai. I think UY is set to return some time next spring. I know Sakai plans to do a UY mini first before the title itself resumes so definitely lookinjg forward to that...... Sakai has said there will be a Usagi mini-series....then I would put my money down on a "new" series starting at #1. There's been too much of a layoff to continue the numbering.

....As for actual physical comic books, the only titles I get are IDW's Doctor Who series and Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo (although that is currently on haitus as Sakai is doing 47 Ronin mini for Dark Horse, another project I am looking forward to as well) I knew there was a reason I liked you Savitar!.....USAGI YOJIMBO!!! I think I'll be picking up 47 Ronin for no other reason than a Sakai "fix"....lol.

.....About your Dad Theory with Frye, my only problem is, given the type of relationship he and Barry have, I would think Frye would've told Barry of that by now, even considering Barry's ongoing concerns with his father's murder case. Telling Barry might help resolve more of his conflicted feelings over his father's presumed innocence....... .....unless Frye knows more than he's let on about Nora's murder. I think Turbine's comment towards Frye could also have that implication as well. I agree with you there....and I hadn't thought about the Turbine comment!!! I only found it a little weird that Frye completely ignores it, but you may be on to something Savitar....
