Awesome review Ed!!!! I agree with, and cheer that you captured the essence of everything I loved about this issue.....and I second your sentiment about an on-going Rogues comic book.
...standing ovation for a great review!

Agreed, Speedster....of what I've seen of Gustin, he seems like he'll take on this role with the positive enthusiasm that is fitting. Although I'd like to see blonde hair, how the character is portrayed is more important....

I loved this issue, can't wait for Rogues!!!!
I'm of the opinion, that Turbine will be one of those forgotten villains who may show up a few years down the road....AFTER they've established The Top as the premier "spinning" Rogue in the Flash franchise!! Then he'll show up and be killed by Top for trying to copy his M-O.
I know it seems far-fetched, but I believe that we'll start seeing some of the old "tried & true" villains making appearances once Manapul & Buccellato's run has come to an end.....Girder will be put back together somehow, etc.
The extensive Rogues gallery of The Flash & Batman are just too well known and popular to be forgotten for too long....

I agree with the editorial.....the Manapul/Buccellato Flash is my favorite of any Barry Allen run that I've read.

Loved the Count Vertigo issue! Very in-depth and revealing...gives you an understanding of how CV rationalizes his actions, and why he believes he is in the right.

Maybe in a few years.....but don't expect it any time soon. Iris & Barry still need to enter into a long-term relationship, & Reverse Flash needs to travel back in time and have a child twenty years ago.

I chose the 3-D personally, and really enjoyed the issue. I did think that the other villains weren't given enough "face-time", but it did drive home the point of what Grodd is all about.
Great issue, can't wait for Reverse Flash & The Rogues!!!!!

Loved Flashpoint Paradox!! Stayed true to the Johns' vision....and I'm betting that if Dillonmania watched it, she enjoyed The Top's cameo!!

Everything about this issue was fun. I laughed several times, and am seriously hoping we can get a Flash-Green Lantern title, or mini-series, or at least let these two characters guest star in each other's titles more. And the backup did a great job of how effective and interesting the Flash can be with small, simple problems.....everything was done so well here, I didn't mind paying the extra $2. Ditto all of that, a great issue....thought this annual was better than last year's...becuz it was a "stand alone".

New from IDW! X-Files on-going, story & plot by Chris Carter (the creator of X-Files) and Joe Harris. I've read the first issue and conclude: If you loved the TV show you WILL love the comic book!!

I'm even more excited for this mini-series since noticing that Patrick Zircher is doing the artwork!! Thought he did a wonderful job for the first six issues of Shadowman (published by Valiant Entertainment).

Even though there is NO Flash ( ), it is an opportunity to get to know the Rogues better. Plus, The Flash title isn't really involving the Rogues while it introduces new foes, so it gives our favorite Villains some face time.

I hate quicksilver and now he will be in 2 movies where that flash only has an animated one coming out this is stupid. ...it's disappointing to me from the standpoint of originality. Someday in the future when they get around to doing a Flash movie, it won't be original....it will be compared to, & considered a "copycat" by movie-only fans. The Flash should be first among Speedsters, so shame on Time Warner for not using their considerable influence to put together a CGI-laden Flash movie!!!
[the following is a "tongue-in-cheek" musing:] Of course, we have to wait for Nolan to do a Supes trilogy, the Green Lantern reboot trilogy...so about 20 years, and hope Nolan doesn't burn out by then...lol.
