Great review, speedster! I'll agree with your assessment of that conversation at the bar - and your overall review. Thanks for putting the link here!

Why do I find myself cheering for Roscoe to do well? Once again an excellent fanfic - can't wait for more!

Thanks to IGN for this preview of earth 2 #4, which gives us our first glimpse at the new Atom Smasher (in this case a younger Al Pratt). Here's that link: www.ign.com/articles/2012/07/30/earth-2-4-previewIn other JSA-type news...James Robinson confirms the following in a tweet from July 30 2012: "yet, the heroes of E2 are called "Wonders" because WW was the first hero(ine)." Interesting thought - and I actually like this twist. If you want to follow him on twitter, check out @jamesdrobinson

Wow that takes me back! I remember buying the first Wally Flash #1...at the time he was limited to the speed of sound and was trying to find his way. Very cool to see a copy of that cover here - thanks!

Thanks to Newsarama's coverage of SDCC 2012 for this, uh, non-answer regarding Wally: "Last question: Wally West? DiDio: "No plans at this time. We didn't introduce him, but that's not to say the character will never be introduced.'" I know, but at least we have another Bat-book in Talon and the introduction of Batgirl in Smallville. #sarcasm Just a note: I am a big fan (make that BIG fan) of the present volume of The Flash by Manapul and Buccellato, as any reader of my reviews know well. Still, I am a fan of ALL the Flashes over the years, and I still firmly believe there could be a place in the New52 for Wally (and Max, Jesse, etc., along with Donna Troy and others). I'm still hoping that this will be realized at some point in the future. btw - here's the link to the full session, which actually is an interesting read: www.newsarama.com/comics/sdcc-2012-dce-meet-the-publishers.html

Thanks once again to Newsarama's coverage of SDCC 2012 for this interesting tidbit. At the Young Justice - LIVE! panel, this was thrown out to the crowd: "At some point in the near-ish future, Wonder Girl and Wonder Woman will meet, as well as Flash and Kid Flash."Given that we are about 1 year in to the New52, it's about time that our two known speedsters on the main Earth meet. How do you think that this will go? Will Barry find out he is a grandfather? Or is he in fact Bart's grandpa in this continuity? Will he appreciate Bart's use of his powers or will he react badly as a police scientist to Bart's potential law-breaking episodes from his life in the future? Lots of possibilities here - what do you think, and what would you like to see in this meeting? Here's a link to the transcript from the Young Justice - LIVE! panel: www.newsarama.com/comics/sdcc-2012-dc-comics-young-justice.html

If I were you, I would certainly claim some credit. That campaign was great...and the figure coming up is certainly great as well. Can't wait!

Thanks to Newsarama's live feeds from SDCC 2012 for these tidbits: - In the Superman Live panel, a fan brought up the age-old (okay, 40 year-old) question of whether Superman or The Flash would win a race between the two. Matt Idleson (Superman Group Editor) said Superman would win, Mike Johnson (co-writer for Supergirl) said Kara would beat them both, and the crowd (when asked by incoming Superman writer Scott Lobdell) was 90% for the Flash. - In the JL and GL panel...well, here are some quick quotes: "Now we're moving onto Flash #0. Buccellato said we all know Barry Allen's origin story, but they're giving it just a little bit of a different spin. Manapul: We fill in a lot of the gaps after a certain occurrence in his life, who raised him, how did he get to the place he's at now? Buccellato: Why does he always do the right thing? Why does he care about the evidence so much? Issue #13 has a sign: "Welcome to Gorilla City." Grodd invades Central City — after Flash left a mess in Gorilla City, the telepathic gorilla is going to mess up his home. Barry might need some help to get the monkey off his back. Perhaps the Rogues might help... ". - Later in the JL/GL Panel we get: "Will Barry find Bart Allen anytime soon? Manapul has said "it's been discussed to be discussed." Buccellato said "it'll happen at some point, just not today." Still later we got the traditional non-answers regarding Wally. - The one exchange of note in the New 52 LIVE! panel was this: "Q: Noticed the letter that the Flash gave to Batman from his father in Justice League in the Batcave... Johns: Yeah, we put that in there on purpose, and you're probably the only one who noticed that. It's there for a reason." For full coverage go to: www.newsarama.com/

Thanks to eightball19 for the link! Just one note - the link in eightball19's post is set for mobile apps, and you need to remove the "m" before the "youtube" in order to get a laptop to play it best. Here's that version of the linK: www.youtube.com/watch?v=utJVXUaI84c
