Excellent review - and I have no problem at all with this being in the "other" category given that it isn't main-universe Marvel. Thanks for sharing the link!

That's fair enough. Everyone has their own tastes and all opinions are welcome on this site. I will agree with you that DC's animated series are really good these days.

I have a feeling that Manapul and Buccellato will handle this character well - maybe you can give a digital copy a shot sometime and see if you want to jump back in. I do understand that the New 52 isn't for everyone - but no matter what I am glad you are posting your ideas and opinions here. Thanks!

All I can say is keep writing - you have a great narrative voice, and if folks haven't fully discovered that yet I'm sure they will before too long. Thanks for keeping us up with your latest in this thread!

The entries for the contest are now closed - though the folks at Speed Force will still be more than happy for you to share additional memories of The Flash. HOWEVER - it is now time to VOTE! You can choose 4 stories at their poll. I'm going to try to set up the link here - if it doesn't work please go to Speedforce.org and you can still get to the poll through their links: twtpoll.com/ewkogvThere are a lot of really good stories on this site - I had a very tough time picking my favorites.

Jim Lee's covers for Justice League #11 were released today, and they feature Barry Allen as The Flash front and center in all versions. Just thought I'd pass this link along to Newsarama's article showing the various covers. www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album.php?aid=46690

Thanks for the kind words, and for your take on Flash #9 as well. I agree that having consequences helps the storytelling in this volume of The Flash, and like you I'm wondering what that growling in the Speed Force holds in store for Iris and company. Like I've said before, I just can't wait for that next issue to come out!

Join in the fun! Speed Force is now 4 years old, and as part of the celebration they are holding a contest called, appropriately enough, "Your Favorite Flash Memory!" There will be four winners, and the prizes will include Flash variant issues. I'm already in...come on over to Speedforce.org and enter! Here's the link: speedforce.org/2012/06/contest-favorite-flash-memory/

You have some very interesting food for thought when it comes to Turbine. I do like your comparison to Magneto, and it makes sense.
Also, thanks for the link to your blog. It is always a good thing to get additional points of view, and you have some excellent articles on your site!

I enjoyed your review - you caught those flutes that I didn't note before (always something extra in the artwork with Manapul and Buccellato). And, I agree that it is very doubtful M&B meant anything bad in how they used a Tuskegee Airman - just wish it hadn't turned out so badly for this Roscoe. Please link us up to more of your reviews - that would be a most welcome addition to this forum as well!

I'm impressed with all the collections...although I had forgotten that one package that paired Batman and The Top. Wow!
